Vice President Marketing

Position Overview

The Vice President of Marketing is a senior executive responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy and execution across franchise operations and key account relationships. This role is critical in driving brand equity, customer engagement, and sales through tailored, account-specific marketing initiatives. The VP of Marketing will lead a high-performing team while working closely with franchisees, supermarket chains, and distribution partners to develop campaigns and creative assets that reflect the unique needs of each market and partner.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

    • Strategic Marketing Leadership – Develop and execute a holistic marketing strategy that supports both national brand growth and local market success across franchise and retail channels.
    • Account-Based Marketing – Customize marketing strategies and creative campaigns to meet the specific objectives, demographics, and seasonal needs of key accounts such as supermarket chains, foodservice distributors, and regional partners.
    • Franchise Marketing Support – Build flexible and effective marketing programs that empower franchisees to grow sales, increase traffic, and enhance local brand presence.
    • Client & Account Collaboration – Serve as the marketing point of contact for key retail clients; understand their business needs, develop joint marketing plans, and provide ongoing support and performance reporting.
    • Creative Strategy & Execution – Oversee the development of campaign creative (digital, print, in-store, and experiential) that aligns with both brand identity and the goals of strategic partners.
    • Product & Menu Promotions – Work closely with product development and operations to launch and promote food and beverage offerings in a way that resonates with both B2C and B2B audiences.
    • Digital & Loyalty Marketing – Drive digital growth through performance marketing, loyalty programs, CRM, and ecommerce initiatives tailored to consumer and account behavior.
    • Team & Agency Management – Lead and mentor an in-house marketing team and collaborate with external agencies to ensure brand consistency and innovation.
    • Marketing Analytics & Optimization – Establish KPIs, track performance of campaigns, and use data to refine strategies based on partner and franchise feedback.
    • Budget Oversight – Manage national, co-op, and account-specific marketing budgets efficiently, ensuring alignment with ROI goals.
    • Travel approximately 25-40% of the time. Travel includes visiting franchise locations, meeting with key retail partners and accounts, attending industry trade shows, and conducting on-site campaign launches or creative reviews.
    • Oversee the daily workflow of the Marketing department. Recruit, interview, and train management-level staff. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations. Handle discipline of employees in accordance with company policies.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
    • At least 10 years of marketing leadership experience in the food industry, with strong experience in franchise and key account marketing.
    • Proven ability to create marketing strategies tailored to supermarkets, grocery retailers, or foodservice distribution channels.
    • Experience working collaboratively with franchisees and strategic retail clients to co-develop promotional campaigns and marketing programs.
    • Strong background in brand building, creative development, and customer engagement.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Expertise in digital marketing, CRM, loyalty, and customer data analytics.
    • Experience managing creative teams and external marketing agencies.
    • Ability to balance national brand consistency with local customization.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Location: On-site

Salary range: $150,000.00-$178,000.00/annual
