Kitchen Training Specialist

Position Overview

The Kitchen Training Specialist will identify and monitor training needs in the organization on new menu items and concepts and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. The role will ensure that both company’s Field Operation Dept. and Franchisee operations are fully trained and are able to execute the procedures as required by AFC by conducting kitchen training nationwide to ensure full implementation of new menu items and concepts.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

· Embraces new products/concepts and master the intent and procedures of these new items to successfully train and guide field operations.

· Plans and conducts trainings nationwide to ensure new menu items and new concepts are fully implemented by both Field Operation Dept. (FOD) and franchisees.

· Per requests by FOD, arranges location for kitchen training and dispatches trainers to each location.

· Manages and conducts regular kitchen training.

· Reviews existing training programs, provides suggestions on enhancements and modifications to improve kitchen operations.

· Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.

· Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization.

· Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry development that training could improve.

· Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.

· Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.

· Oversees the activities of training associates and conducts their performance evaluations timely and constructively.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Skills

· Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

· Three to five years of experience in sushi making as chef.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Thorough understanding of training processes.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Ability to moderate large groups.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Pay: $26.00 – $30.00 per hour

 

Expected hours: 8 per week
